Deleting and deactivating domains

By Bjarni RĂșnar 2011-01-03, 17:25

The account page has gotten a few more updates:

  1. It is now possible to reset the bandwidth counters on a kite-by-kite basis.
  2. It is now possible to delete or deactivate domains.

Whether deleted or deactivated, a domain is removed from DNS and will no longer receive traffic (thus not impacting your quota). The "top-level" .pagekite.me domains can not be deleted, only deactivated, but subdomains and CNAME pagekites can be removed completely.

Note that resetting your traffic counters has no impact on the quota calculations - just like resetting the mileage counter on your car won't magically refill the tank. :-)
