A Grant and Other Good News

There has been a lot going on for PageKite since our last blog-post.

The biggest news, is that the project has been accepted and will receive a grant from the Rannís Technology Development Fund. It is a 2 year grant which should cover a significant chunk of our development costs. This is fantastic news and will be a big boost to the project and the company.

Other news of Interest:

• Bjarni is attending RMLL this week, speaking on Wednesday afternoon about PageKite.
• The development branch of pagekite.py now supports finger and the Thimbl microblogging system.
• We released a small tool named Breeder for helping distribute Python programs by combining multiple files into one.
• The Tahoe-LAFS distributed file-system works over PageKite!
• Work has begun on a Lua implementation of a PageKite back-end, for embedded devices.

So, we're keeping busy...
